Are there any side effects when using homeopathy?

Homeopathy has no side effects as the remedies we use are so highly diluted that there is no toxicity left. However – sometimes when you take a remedy there can be a slight aggravation in symptoms which might mean that the potency you have been prescribed might not be appropriate for you or you are extremely sensitive. Should this happen it is advised to stop taking the remedies and get in touch with your homeopath.

Can I take Homeopathy if I am on prescribed medication?

Homeopathy can work well alongside prescribed medication. If you want to make changes with your medication you need to consult your healthcare provider.

Is there any evidence that Homeopathy works?

What does the Consultation Fee cover?

The Consultation Fee covers the time it takes to take your case and the time for me to research your required remedy. It also covers the cost of the remedy and the postage to get it to you.

If you live outside Ireland or the EU I will advise you where you can best source your remedy as it may be difficult for me to send it to you.

Is Homeopathy safe for me to use when I am pregnant?

Yes – Homeopathy is safe to use during pregnancy. As the remedies typically have no side effects they can be a gentle support for you and your baby during pregnancy and be of help during labour. There are also remedies that can help you after the birth and with any difficulties you might experience with breastfeeding.

If the appointment is for my child – will they need to come to the appointment?

Yes – it is important for me to meet the child and get a sense of who they are. However, if the child cannot stay for the whole time you can arrange for them to be able to leave earlier. Please be aware if you are arranging an appointment to discuss sensitive issues that you do no want to discuss in front of your child you might need to arrange a short phone call either before or after the consultation at no extra cost.

How long does it take for Homeopathy to work?

This is different from case to case. If you are seeking help for an acute injury this might only take 1 or 2 consultations for the improvement you are looking for, however, for a long chronic condition that you might have had for many years this will be a lot longer. As a rule of thumb, we say that it will be at least a month for every year you have had the condition to get to a point that you might be symptom free – but this is just a rule of thumb and will vary from case to case.

What do people typically want to have treated with Homeopathy?

As already said in the section ‘Services’ – Homeopathy can offer support with all different symptoms. I have had patients with headaches and skin issues, but also ailments from Menopause and hormonal imbalances.  As Homeopathy treats the symptoms and not the disease we can help with all different symptoms and can achieve favourable results.
